A lovely, easygoing route that heads out of the village and drops down into the valley, losing height nearly all the way.

From the village centre at around 245 metres, the path winds gently downhill through fields and along quiet lanes, with the valley opening up below you. It is the kind of walk where you can let your legs swing and your shoulders drop, and there is plenty to look at as you go.

The route finishes down at the Smiths, around 2.3 miles and a good 150 metres of descent later. Being downhill nearly all the way out, do bear in mind the way back is the climb, around 160 metres of it, so save a little in the tank (or arrange a lift) for the return.

Allow around an hour each way at a steady pace. Stout shoes are a good idea, as the field paths can get muddy after rain.
